Introduction:

The purpose of the master program in epidemiology is to produce scholars who will contribute to the scientific basis for epidemiology and public health practice. The thesis is a scholarly contribution to epidemiology science and involves the generation of new knowledge. The thesis allows you to demonstrate your ability to function as an independent scholar and command a high level of knowledge. The thesis involves a final written document and oral examination. Both must be successfully defended at the discretion of your thesis committee in order to graduate from the program.
